The largest World Cup in tournament history has begun, with performances from Shakira and Burna Boy at the opening ceremony in Mexico City. More than 80,000 fans made their way to Azteca Stadium, ahead of the co-hosts' opening match against South Africa. Four-time Grammy winner Shakira and Burna Boy performed the official World Cup song ‘Dai Dai’. Mexican, Venezuelan and Colombian artists also performed.
